Meet Mary Heinlen (email) and Claire Herzog in front of the pavilion with the American flag that is to the right as you enter the main parking lot of Siesta Key Beach. Learn to ID shorebirds. We will walk approximately 1.5 mile in the sand and sun. Restrooms are avialable.
Meet Lynn Jakubowicz (email) in the main parking lot. We will take a 2 mile walk, ½ shade and sun; looking for waders, ducks, and forest birds. Restrooms are available.
Join a Bald Eagle specialist to see nests and eaglets. Please bring your own binoculars. We will meet at the Nature Center and travel by bus to the various locations. The walk will head to the lake at the new South addition where there are shorebirds, waders, ducks, and flyovers. Approx. 2 miles of gravel paths, mainly sun. Plenty of restrooms.
